Intensify your love for yourself.

We beat ourselves up daily whether we admit it or not. Therefore we owe it to ourselves to forgive ourselves and move on. Shit happens plain and simple.

Breathe . . . Pause . . . Breathe . . . Pause . . . Breathe . . . And pause again. Let go just for today and feel the weightlessness…Just feel that…

Create Space for Self-Expression

Do something creative, and UNordinary for yourself today.

Self-care takes great courage, and it starts with accepting and loving yourself deservingly; allowing wonderment and creativity to enter and expand into your life.

Creativity helps you to BE expressed. Putting yourself and your desires on the todo ‘list of Life.’ When you are making choices and taking chances, it can only Enhance YOU.
It’s a ‘Doing.’ It is taking action and setting your creative juices in motion. Today is the day!

Being expressed, healed, and seen is a service to yourself as well as to humanity. A gift to the planets.

When we begin to heal, we become amended versions of ourselves.

When you are seen and heard and begin to witness yourself; your version of creativity, your truth and beauty radiate and affect everything and everyone around you.

And when you express, heal and shine, you help others to do the same. Be creative and joy-filled for no reason.

Love wholeheartedly, be surprised, give thanks and praise – then you will discover the fullness of your life. ~David Steindl

Rituals and Ceremonies

Rituals can be an essential contribution to self-care.
When we focus on a specific ceremony it becomes a repetition that provides us with a reminder to make space for yourself.
Creating space gives us a sense of empowerment over our lives and allows us to go within and check in on ourselves bringing us into the moment.

Everything we do is sacred. Think about it, our breath, our presence, how we express our emotions, all things we do as a human are sacred rituals. Most of these are automatic and reactive.

The ceremonies I am talking about our the ‘conscious’ ones that we deliberately create to give ourselves the love, self-care that seems to get put on the back burner. We are either too busy and/or distracted; hence, we forget how important it is to create space for ourselves, which can result in a breakdown or breakthrough depending on how present we are to ourselves.

An example of a ritual that most of us do is celebrate our birthdays once a year or New Years.
Truth is we need more sacred space, not just birthdays or other main events.

Rituals give us a way to release, end or begin something new. It allows us to put our desires, wishes, dreams into action actively. It makes the everyday life special, and it creates dimension, layers, depth, and distinction to whatever it is we are co-creating with during our ceremonies. Setting up some quality time for ourselves is a ritual in itself.

What sacred rituals or ceremonies do you perform to honor the wholeness that you are?

Today Start with what matters most…YOU! Dolby Dharma

“The smudging ceremony is a custom of Native American and other indigenous cultures. For centuries many cultures have used smudging as a way to create a cleansing smoke bath that is used to purify the body, aura, energy, ceremonial/ritual space or any other space and personal articles. Smudging is performed to remove negative energy as well as for centering and healing. Our bodies and environments are not only physical but vibrate with invisible, silent energy. “~powwow-power.

What idea, a way of being, grudge, feelings, guilt, shame etc. can you let go of today that will manifest a great change and lift you up?

We all have that to-do list in our heads that keep us stuck in the daily grind. We do the day-to-day on autopilot most of the time. The only way to lighten the load is to start cleaning up, letting go, of people, things, and thoughts that are doing no good but weighing us down, keeping us anchored to old habits.

Just for today, wake up and release one small ‘something’ that causes you a heavy, negative feelings; it can be a feeling, a routine or routine self-talk. Breathe into your heart and open up any emotional knots you feel with your own tender breath and let it all go even if it is only in your mind at the moment.

“Accept yourself, love yourself, and keep moving forward. If you want to fly, you have to give up what weighs you down.”
― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

On Assignment

Once upon a time
the ancestors whispered
In my ears, cracked open my heart,
giggled within my belly and tickled my toes
with a curiosity of what I would discover and where I would go
They danced through my body and sang through my spirit
breathed within my soul
washed me in the living waters of the wisdom word
and bid me to sing
Told me to shine like the sun
Told me I am the one
I Am the I Am I am poetry
I am rhythm and rhyme
I am a miracle of snowflakes
I am sublime
I am an echo come back in real time
I am the Griot praise singing
I am a memory illuminating
I am a gift, a flash of light
A Holy Sight at tradition’s door
Improvising melodies
Through moments in time
Remembering who I am… remembering who you are…
On assignment…

Guardian on duty!

The best part of waking-up is shedding what no longer serves you or nourishing your life. Waking up is something we do daily without thinking about it but the kind of waking up I am referring to is an internal consciousness that brings clarity about to what matters. What or who is running your life.

The answer always comes back to YOU.

You are important and cannot be defined by another other than yourself. You cannot be denied by another, only you can deny yourself.

Right now; Visualize a single line of energy running through your body from head to toe. And, act in this alignment. You are untouchable.

“A free spirit is not bound by this, that, matter, materialism or opinion. They sing, dance and flow in the wind – for they are at one with it. They are nothing and everything – void and expense. Even space and time does not confine or define them. For they are pure energy itself.”
― Rasheed Ogunlaru
